MAVCO designs, builds and services the multiple entertainment technology installations throughout the entire ship. Past projects include an impressive array of main theatres, show lounges, secondary lounges, bars, discos, restaurants, function and conference rooms, health centres, open deck areas and crew bars. We also create and maintain comprehensive broadcast facilities, interactive television, CCTV security, architectural lighting and ship wide BGM/PA (Background Music & Public Address) systems.

Although products and technology for cruise ships may be similar to land-based venues, specialist design work is needed to overcome challenges such as space restrictions, power, heat and vibration. Limited on-board space for staff also means that show operation must be designed for use by minimal technical crew. MAVCO’s experience in providing sophisticated show control and systems integration is essential in achieving precision timing and repeatability for lighting, audio, video and effects.

The building of new cruise vessels is a multi-national exercise with shipyard, owner, architects and consultants located throughout Europe, the USA and Asia Pacific. MAVCO has the flexibility and the expertise to service any and all of these.
